Blueberry green tea smoothie

Who would have known: if you combine blueberry with green tea you get… a pink cocktail. The yoghurt (feel free to choose your vegan alternative) might be the culprit here. Colours aside, both blueberries and green tea are known as potent antidotes to free radicals. If you had a bit too much sun this summer, this might be just what your skin needs to recover from too much exposure. And if you didn’t have enough sun: this cocktail will make you smile just the same.

Green blueberry smoothie

Ingredients (for 1 cocktail)

100g of fresh (or frozen) blueberries
2 tea spoons of green tea leaves (8-10g)
200ml of filtered water
1 yoghurt (preferably without sugar or other additives)
honey or agave syrup for a sweeter experience

Preparation of the green-blue smoothie that’s actually, well… pink

Boil the water and let it sit for 10 min. Add the tea leaves and wait for another 5 minutes (yes, we do want the tea part to be rather intense here). Remove the leaves and put the tea into the fridge.
[Alternative: use the cold infused tea you prepared last night.]

As soon as the tea is cold you are ready to go: add all ingredients to the blender and mix until you have a smooth… smoothie.

¡Enjoy!

PD: This adorable cocktail is a great in-between snack as well as a full-blown dessert.
